Kimberly's Story

Life I am still living in Brownsville, TN (located between Jackson and Memphis) and will celebrate my 6th anniversary with my husband Ken in March. My step-children are or are getting ready to turn 12, 17, and 23. The oldest graduated from Rhodes College in May and works for St. Judes Children's Hospital. He is waiting to continue on to UT College of Medicine in Memphis. The middle one is a Junior in high school and the youngest in 6th grade. I have to say, at this point, that Greeneville doesn't feel like home anymore at all. I guess that's to be expected as you get older. Feel free to write and let me know what you've all been up to! School As I get older, I think more and more about our high school years. Especially when listening to what is now considered to be "classic rock" on the radio. It seems like there's some type of memory attached to every song. Sometimes I just ...Expand for more
feel like there's something missing from that time period...like I left something unfinished. Yeah, well, my husband thinks I'm crazy (and a little wierd) too. Maybe it's the beginning of my mid-life crisis! College I'm now teaching as an adjunct faculty member with the University of Memphis - Jackson Center. I'm also planning to return to school in January to pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching degree to prepare me for the next phase of my working life. What can I say? I've going to school off and on for so long, I just start missing it after awhile. Workplace I'm still working for MTD Products, Inc. (Cub Cadet Division) as a Continuous Improvement Engineer. I'm getting ready to celebrate my 11th year there this month. There's not much exciting going on with work right now. Just the same ol' same ol'. I definitely plan to "retire" from manufacturing in a few years.
