Kimberly's Story
Life
Well, I thought it was time to update my information. I am a nurse unit manager of an ALzheimers Dementia Unit which is stressful and demanding however, I do enjoy the people because you become so attached. I have been married now for 9 years and we have been together for 16 years now. Time flies by I guess!! We had our first child, samuel, in 2001. He was delivered prematurely at 31 weeks. We were very fortunate for him to be healthy other than the normal maturing needed for his lungs and nutritional intake. He was in U of M nicu for 3 weeks then we were able to take him home. He is now 5 and just started kindergarten this year. Our second child, Alyssa, was born in 2004. She is now 2 1/2 and we love them more than anything. My husband works at the university of michigan in the rec sports dept. and has been there for 14 years. We met my first year at EMU. My roommate and his brother were dating so that is how we met. We ended up both marrying brothers and became good friends and still are. I still remain very close with Lori Hendershot whom is god-mother to our children. We are in the process now...Expand for more
of selling our house and moving into ann arbor as our son attends school there and we hope to continue both of their education in ann arbor. I miss everyone from school even though you always hear people say they are so glad to be out of there and away from everyone. I really don't think it was that bad as we all were so close and had such a great time together. Those were the days I will always cherish. The memories of friends, football games, basketball games, softball, boyfriends...it was all a great time to look back on. I don't think there are too many of us that can honestly say they don't miss some part of our school years. I believe that even though the years have passed, that within each of us is that high school kid that is care free with no worries of the future or getting old. I miss hanging out with everyone. Listening to AC/DC on the softball bus before a game. Singing "Queen" before our basketball games. WHat a great care free time for all of us to cherish and remember forever. We all shared a lot together and were more like family. Hope everyone is doing good and hope to hear from you!
