Kimberly Dawn's Story
Graduated. Got married. Had 2 kids. Became an LPN. Got a divorce after 20 years of marriage. Moved to the end of the earth (South Louisiana). Lost it all in Hurricane Rita. Home. Job (hospital where I worked was destroyed). Got married again (Can you say S T U P I D??) Divorce after 15 months. Did the nursing home circut for a couple of years. Then back to work in South Louisiana after hospital was re-built. Met and fell in love with the most amazing man on earth "The Captain". Moved to Texas. We have been engaged for a year and a half now and are getting married in a few weeks so right now my life consists of wedding plans and shopping for our honeymoon in Cancun. ldren that I am very proud of. I am proud of myself for what I have accomplished and look forward to spending the rest of my life loving my life and spoiling the 2 beautiful grand-angels that I have and all of the ones that hopefully come in the future. I owe it all to Mary Jane Bonier. She wrote in my yearbook in my Jr year, "Stop selling yourself short. Stop trying to be what others would like for you to be and be somebody that you will be proud to be" I would read those words everytime I felt like life was against me (and that was ALOT), but I lost the book in Hurricane Rita. I thank GOD that I no longer have to seek that comfort, but again thank Him that they were there when I needed them.
