Life After college I worked for various local publishing houses and ad agencies. Then one Winter I was called up to the major leagues and went to work for the Chicago Cubs baseball Club as their graphic design coordinator. I worked at Wrigley Field in the front offices of the club. I have never had a better lunch hour than sitting in the stands watching them cut grass on a non-game day, while the breezes of Lake Michigan waifed the smell of fresh cut grass up to me. There I learned the great big world of periodical publishing through the Vine Line and Cubs Quarterly magazines. I left the Cubs with the player strike of 1994 to start my own design firm. I continued to work with major league baseball through my own company and other subsidiary partnerships on a full time basis.
