Kimberly's Story

Wow can you believe it has been so long since we graduated? I still wonder when I became middle aged with a teenage daughter! There is nothing "exciting" to tell. I live a life like much of you. I married a wonderful man who is a Navy Seabee. So we spend our life serving our country. Hubby is currently on his final deployment. He has been in Iraq and now he has moved to Afghanistan. After he gets home there will be NO MORE DEPLOYMENTS! We get to come home to TX! No more hurricane seasons. After going through Hurricane Katrina I dont care if I ever see another coast. But if I had it to do it over. I would do it all the same. You are worth it baby! We have two great daughters. One is a teen and on the track team and everything else you can imagine. My second daughter will be starting school soon. I cant believe my baby is growing up so fast! I still love art. So I started my own business. Now I design shirts for the military and people all over the US and around the world. Hubby and I love collecting classic cars. We have a 1965 Mercury Comet Calliente convertible, a 1972 British MG Midget convertible and a 1966 Ford F 100. They are so much fun to drive! Next we want a 1955 Thunderbird and a 1944 Willys Jeep. l blessed. My husband is my best friend, my hero, my knight in shining combat boots who not only protects me and my girls but even strangers around the world. We have lived through war, through happy wonderful times, through the most destructive natural disaster in US history. We know what its like to sleep in the open and guard our home at night after the storm. We know what it is like to catch rain water and bathe outside haha.We know what it is like to sit in the dark and see a glimmer of light in the distance and watch lights come on closer and closer. Then you hold your family and pray the lights come on where you are. Then scream, laugh and thank God when they do. I guess over the years we all have grown. When you sit and look back over the years and count your blessings and you realize you have the best life. When you go through the good or even bad times, it just makes you that much stronger. It makes marriages stronger. Its like my hubby says....when you have the best, when you have love, when you watch and enjoy your children grow....thats what life is all about.....just relax and enjoy it.....the rest is just icing on the cake. I hope that over the years each of you have had lots of icing on your cake of life!
