Kimberly's Story
I moved from Mississippi when starting at DHS, so you may remember my Southern drawl. Maybe you know me as president of Anchor club my senior year. My family moved back to MS right after graduation due to my father's brain tumor. We took care of him until his death July4, 1975. I married a Texan in 1976, moved to Texas. Got an ADN in 1980. The first of 6 children was born in 1981. I have 4 sons and 2 daughters and now 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. After my last child was born I was in a coma for six weeks...Expand for more
(Dec 94-Feb 95), went to rehab for 4 weeks to relearn walking and everything! Divorced August 1995. I went back to school and got a BSN in August 2000. Since then I have worked as a nurse in hospitals and hospice. Currently I am working in a step down unit (PCU) in Plano,Texas and starting courses to certify in wound care.
I consider myself blessed to have gone to DeLand High School. The Latin and biology has served me well through the years. I had may good friends, and would love to hear for any of you.
