Kimberly's Story
I grew up in La Porte, Texas; Fairmont Park to be exact. I lived in the same house on Cedarmont Drive with my brother, Christopher (class of '91), and parents my entire youth, aside from the one year we lived in München, Germany. I graduated from LPHS in 1987 and moved to Austin soon thereafter. 10 years later I relocated with my then 3 year old son to San Diego, and lived there until 2010. 2005, and currently I reside in CA.
I've worked with drug exposed & special needs foster children, which was quite challenging, but honestly one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I'm vegan, and believe in holistic health. I have a rescued 13 year old chihuahua mix.
I lost my adoptive mother and father a few years ago and my birth-mother in 2011, all to cancer. I recently found not only my bio-father, but also two half-sisters.
