Kirk's Story
Life
I am now getting adjusted to the working world versus the student life. The biggest thing I miss is the number of days "off." Christmas, spring break, Thanksgiving, etc.
I do have a pet...acquired a cat last fall to fend with my mice problem. It worked, I haven't had one since! The mice weren't in my house, they were under it.
I took a promotion with First Interstate Bank last October (2004) leaving Wal-Mart as a Financial Services Representative to become a Loan Officer in Eureka MT. I think I'm still in shock of living in this area! It's a long way from anywhere I've lived in the state before... The experience is what I'm after and...Expand for more
am getting it. I think this will be a great "jump-start" for my career!
Workplace
As I mentioned in my "general bio..." I have graduated from the Wal-Mart environment to actually having my very own office. It's definitely a step up!
Along with the move from Wal-Mart, I've also encountered a new management style from macro to micro. It's been a very frustrating change, but probably a good one so I'm well versed in both styles! I do have to admit I prefer the hands-off management style but am learning to cope with the micro style. I'm also meeting some very intelligent people within the bank and out and look forward to expanding my network.
