Kirsten's Story
Life
Okay...not sure why I am doing this, but I am up late and happened across this site. I am a little curious what people are up to. I have two awesome girls who amaze me daily. Even if they were not my kids, I would want to hang out with them. I am still in Napa after a short move to Orange County. I love to visit Hawaii, can't think of anywhere more relaxing. I work a job that I would do for free if I didn't need the money. Other than quality time with my kids and staying connected with friends, there is nothing I would rather do...well, maybe a trip to Hawaii. :) I still enjoy all sports and stay as active as possible. My knee slows me down a bit, but doesn't stop me. I enjoy activity and relaxation equally. A balance between the two is nice. I can't wait for the warm sunny days of spring and summer. Okay, I know I have been vague, but old habits stick with me. I am a private person. I value, more than ever, the qualities found in each individual. Everybody I know has something special about them.
I recently ran into an old classmate at ...Expand for more
In-n-Out Burger. He approached me and asked if it was me. I shamefully couldn't put a name to his face, though it was a familiar and handsome face. After he told me who he was, I felt bad...I should have remembered him. I remember much more now. He was a wonderful person who was always kind to me. We shared minimal information, but because I was with my kids and a friend, we kept it short. I wish I had traded numbers to keep in touch. I never have too many friends. Truth be told; I would probably have recalled his name, but I have had a couple of concussions that have affected my memory. Not to mention the monumental 40th birthday that creates an excuse for short term memory loss. :) Excuses, excuses...
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason and we can draw something positive from every situation. I also believe that we are constantly being given opportunities for learning and growing. Every day, I wake up with a goal to be better today than I was yesterday. Progress, not perfection...always a work in progress. Okay...enough rambling.
