Kirsten's Story
Workplace
A Pawfect Pet is my own company. Some services I offer are pet training, pet grooming, doggie day care, and boarding. I specialize in dogs who are prior "Dog School Drop-outs".
I also offer a service dedicated to helping prospective pet owners find the right breed or mix, the right breeder or rescue, and, finally, the right dog.
OK, On to the fam.
I have a wonderful husband, Kryn. Yep, had to find a guy with as weird a name as my own! I have a true sister, not by birth, but by my choice, that would be Barb.
No 2-legged children, but pleanty of the furred and feathered. Let's see....
Skid (aka Doodle-bug, Bug, Doodle, Buglet....you get the idea!) is MY Border CollieC. She was born into my hands 8 years ago, I owned her mom, Jolly.. She has, litterallly saved my life twice. The times she may haved saved me are inumerable. Not only smart, but beautiful, mind, body, and heart.
Boost taka Boo, Booster, Boo Boo Kitty) is her blue merle BC sister. She is Kryn's dog, but sweet and pretty are words that were made to describe her. She was bred by Chris of Peachy Keen BCs. Then there's barb's dog, Nigel, a little mix of JRT, Dachsund, Pug. One of the sweetest dogs ever, and a testament to the possibilty of getting a dream dog from rescue.
Then there's Pepe, a 17(??) yo Chihuahua inhereted from my mother in law when she passed this January. Chihuahua, yep, need I say more? ;-)
On to the avian kids.
There is Echo, a 7 yo Timneh African Grey. I hand fed him when he was a ball of fluff. Loves sound effects more than actual speech. More than once he has sent to dogs running to the front door with his imitation of it. Loves most everyone and was described as the most well-adjusted Grey he'd evey seen by an avian pro.
Then there is Soliel, my Blue and Gold Macaw. She is about 2 yo. Learns words after hearing them once. Never thought I'd need to moniter my TV for foul language!!! So smart, she's kinda scary. But she is also a sweetheart. I am either very good with birds, or very lucky.
So, that's me, and the cast that inhabits my life.
Oh, almsot forgot one of my very favorite things, ever......
The Goo Goo Dolls. I have already informed Kryn that John is my next hubby!!! See you boys on 7/22 in Holmdel.
