Kit's Story
Life
After graduating from Trinity High School (Euless) in 1973, I attended Kilgore College and was a member of the Kilgore Rangerettes. It was a FANTASTIC experience! I am still active in the Rangerettes Forever, and was able to perform with the group at the 2000 Cotton Bowl (what a memorable experience celebrating the millenium!!) and most recently performed again at the 2007 Cotton Bowl! I graduated from Kilgore College in 1975 with an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Secretarial Science.
I married John Bolte in 1984 (after dating 12 years), and we have 2 daughters - Jessica is 24, Jennifer is 22. Jessica is attending TCC part-time and working full-time, and Jennifer is a new mom as of 4-1-13. Sadly, and very unexpectedly, John passed away on October 30, 2008 at the age of 53. The girls and I live in Euless, TX.
I worked for Bell Helicopter Textron in Fort Worth for 14 years. After 6 years of night school while working at Bell Helicopter, I received my BBA degree from Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth. I worked on the V-22 Tilt-Rotor Aircraft program - was there for First Flight of the aircraft which was AWESOME - and was layed off in 1990. This gave me the wonderful opportunity to join Exxon Corporation that same year. I have been working at Exxon Mobil Corporation in Las Colinas for 23 years, currently as a Graphics Coordinator. I LOVE MY JOB....but I'm ready to retire!
No longer taking dancing classes due to back problems. But I still got the rhythmn and LOVE to listen to the oldies from the 60's, 70's and 80's. So many great songs bring back FANTASTIC memories!!
My husband, John, and I attended our 30th High School Reunion for Trinity High School in 2003. We were a part of the Reunion Planning Committee, where we worked with a FANTASTIC group of former classmates for a year planning this event. What a memorable experience! We wouldn't have missed it for the world!! So glad we took part in the planning of it. It got us so much more involved with the class reunion.

aring for our 40-year Reunion. It is scheduled for Homecoming Weekend October 11-12, 2013 (aka 10.11-12.13). How cool is that?!!! Hope to see a lot of former classmates over that weekend!

My favorite way to relax is laying in bed with my 3 dogs watching TV.
My hero is Gussie Nell Davis, founder of the Kilgore Rangerettes. She was the director of the Rangerettes the 2 years I was there. She was probably in her mid-60's then, but she was definitely a "bundle of dynamite"!
No 2 kids are alike!
I lived in an all-girl dorm with other Rangerettes, cheerleaders and students. I was one of the greatest experiences of my life!! Had 2 GREAT roomies - Regina and Vickie
My current age is 54. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be grandparents and old. I was so completely WRONG.
I share my home with my oldest daughter and 4 dogs, which I find chaotic at times. My youngest daughter gave me a handsome grandson on April 1st, 2013. He looks so much like John...I'm sad that they will never know each other.
In 5 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by working 2 more years.
I'm currently a part of a wonderful project for the upcoming 75th Anniversary of the Kilgore Rangerettes in 2015. I am an investor in a documentary titled "Sweethearts of the Gridiron: An American Story". It is going to be AWESOME! Watch for my name in the "credits". So EXCITING!!
