Kookie's Story
Sorry I hadn't filled this out before.... I am so not a computer geek. I finished hs, married Paul Gonzales (also in our class). Had one child. Divorced Paul. Joined the Navy. Did 6 years of service. Got married while in the Navy and stationed in Illinois. Got divorced. Moved to Houston. Have been here ever since. Go home (San Antonio) several times a year because my mom and brother and sister live there. My one brother was Assistant Fire Chief in San Antonio and recently retired. I've lived in Houston now for about 15 years. Hate Houston, but the money here is good. Love San Antonio. Still hope to move back there some day. My parents moved to the north side of town. I still communicate with Elaine Peterson who was my best friend in High School. Let me know if I left any thing out..... Oh yea, forgot one other detail. Recently remarried. Very Happy!
Added note: I've been thinking alot about high school lately (thanks to this re...Expand for more
union coming up) and I have to say that I know some people think of HS as something bad they had to live through, but I don't. I think of it as a time of freedom. We were developing our independence & trying to grow as people. I'm sure we made mistakes, and maybe hurt a few friends along the way but I know non of that was intentional. We didn't have the greatest role models back then and we were doing the best we could with the tools we had to work with. I harbor no hard feeling with anyone, not even myself and if I ever hurt anyone in those growning years, you can bet I never meant it and I want only happiness for all those I've ever known in my life. Here's too the 70's (which I still love) and all those who have survived it.... Hope to see many of you at the reunion. P.S. Funny how things have come full circle. I've never stopped wearing spagetti strap shirts, flair jean or listening to the Eagles and here they are, back in style again......
