WELL!! Mike and I have been married for 38 years, have two kids - Amy and Adam. They have blessed us with 2 grandkids - Emily, our 4 year old teenager, and CJ, our 8 month old dynamo!! Two years ago, we brushed off the Florida beach sand and moved to north Georgia. We built a log home on 3 acres that is located in the Chattahoochee National Forest. We now have 18 chickens that lay upwards of 8 eggs a day (8 of the the chickens are just babies!!) and our two blue tick hounds that bay at anything that comes into the yard, including air, I think. We see deer very regularly, raccoon, snakes (sometimes in the chicken coop - ugh!), and lots of spiders and stuff. For someone who was raised in Clearwater, this has been a big change - but we both love it. Mike worked for Pinellas County Sheriff's Dept. for 22 years and retired in 2006. He is enjoying retirement up here, just doing odd jobs around the property. His prize possession is his red tractor, which he loves to work with.
