Life
What a long strange trip it's been to here and now! I went to Mass. after graduation, moved to Fla.in the fall of '79, got in too much trouble and hithhiked back to Mass. the next spring. I lived in Provincetown on Cape Cod until I went to work on dude ranch in CO in '81. I went from there w/ a friend to WA state and quit partying in '83. I became a Christian and moved to Ill as a missionary for a year, then came back to CO in '84.
I was married to an alcoholic almost 7 yrs before I divorced him, and have been happily married to my current husband for 23 years. Although he has 2 children and 4 grandchildren, we have never had any children together. We are best friends and still like each other! at the local saddle club, and rode the many trails on the Front Range, west of Colorado Springs. We are currently hiking, golfing and (mostly), running our own composite deck supply business.
My work history has been pretty varied. I worked as an aerobics instructor at the YMCA in Colorado Springs for 6 yrs, waited tables at breakfast places for 18, was a lunch lady at a local H.S., and worked as a bank teller w/ Wells Fargo for 6 years before starting my own business in 2007. My husband Ron has worked in numerous management positions in the wholesale lumber industry since the mid 80's. We are working together on the supply business now. We love Colorado and hope to make our business successful here. We're in our 7th year and are doing well despite the bad economy.
I am looking forward to hearing the stories of many others at the next reunion.
