Kris's Story
yeah, i know i need to get a more recent picture. that's the four cowgill sibs--val age 2, frank age 6 holding baby randy and me age 4. val and randy live in orlando; frank in anchorage, and i've been in baton rouge for the last 36 years. married to the same man for almost all that time. i think i'll keep dale; who else would put up with me.
we have two grown daughters who (despite the teen years when i would have sold them to passing gypsies or paid them to take them) turned out to be lovely intelligent women.
Jenny, married to ben, lives in the bay area of california. he's a lawyer doing appellate work for the state and she recently gave up her lymph massage practice (a victim of the economy) and is expecting their first (and she says only) child in may--a boy named atticus.

s and they have two boys--wyatt,3 and hayes about to make his first b'day. they traveled a great deal when chris worked for the houston's chain; meghan had a different ob in a different state for each trimester of her first pregnancy. but they've settled into a charming cottage in Lakeview (which has been restored since it was inundated after katrina) and chris is busily opening new restaurants for New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood.
dale is retired from Exxon, but i am still working at the local library. i like my job in the reference dept. i stayed home and was supermom for 17 years, so i won't get much in the way of retirement. but we recently bought a new house and i think i'll retire at 62 (omg, that's next year!) and enjoy the new place, spend time with my grandchildren, travel some and finish the three or four novels i've started.
