Krista's Story

Life Wow....how the time flies. We have two little girls through the miracle of adoption. Kiera and Jianna. Kiera Nicole joined our lives 3 days after she was born in 2002. After 4 years of trying to adopt and becoming a family with literally a days notice we were just thrilled, amazed beyond belief! Life would never be the same! It is so awesome being a parent. Challenging too...but loads of fun. We moved to Wisconsin (near Green Bay) in 2003 where my husband was transferred. I was really surprised when our adoption agency called to let us know that our daughters birthparents were expecting again and wanted to keep the children together. Well, after 4yrs the first time around we were not about to say no. So....within 16 months we had 2 baby girls!! Kiera and Jianna. They are full biological sisters and the center of my universe! I just can't imagine life without these little angels. Yeah...our house never slows down...but boy is it ever joyful. I am really lucky to have stayed at home with the girls ...Expand for more
since they came into our lives. My husband has a great job as the VP of Commercial Lines of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company. This affords me the opportunity to volunteer at my children's schools with reading programs and other special activities. My girls are 6 and 5 and are involved in so many activities now. Soccer, dance, T-ball (when its not 20 below here), swimming, girl scouts, karate..it think that about covers it. I get back to Evansville about twice a year. I really miss it. I never see anyone from High School but not sure I would recognize anyone if I did see them. I think I have changed alot with life experiences and so much more. I keep in touch with a few people from my class but would welcome contact with anyone. Curious if anyone from our class lives near me. Funny enough someone that grew up across the street from me in Newburgh lives about 2 miles across town. I would love to hear from you!
