Kristie's Story
I remember playing outside all day long in the summer!! I only came in when my dad whistled for us to come in for dinner!
I remember climbing the fence in our behind the alley neighbors yards to get to their fruit trees!
Standing at the corner of Bay St. and the st. next to Chesterfield Ave. waiting in the winter on the bus, with snow on the ground!
After H.S.; I went to UNCC and obtained my BS degree in nursing. I worked at Memorial (as it was then) ...Expand for more
for 13 years, and different places after that. I married the 1st time in 1975; had my son, Michael in 1980; divorced in 1985; remarried in 1985, am still married (25 yrs.) to the same man. He graduated from Garinger in 1973; his name is Jim Kelly. His brother, Tim graduated the year before in 1972. I have been on disability since 2001; and I hate it. I am planning to get my nurses license renewed next year, so I can try to go back to work. God Bless you all!!
