Kristina's Story
Life
Almost 20 years later, and I can't believe I'm still going to say this, but...I miss High School. Senior year pretty much dictated the way that my future after school would go. I'm currently married to husband number two and have three kids (not counting my 23 year old step-son that had made me a grandmother a couple of years ago). James, DOB 10/24/86, Thomas, DOB 10/26/88, and Elaina, DOB 3/8/91. I've moved from NJ, to FL, and am hiding from husband #1 in NY. I'm working in an office as a customer service rep for McGruff the Crime Dog and Keep America Beautiful. I also started my own business in 2003 with Premier Designs High Fashion Jewelry and am loving it. I had tried other direct sales companies in the past, but this company is so different - it has truly been a blessing.
School
It's been almost 20 years since graduation and I'm trying to figure out where the time has gone. Because of Classmates, I've been able to reconnect with dear friends from Tech and even Junior High - you know who you are ;o)- and even one of my favorite teachers, that works in the same town I do (it's such a small world sometimes). As my own children are dealing with their own high school ex...Expand for more
periences, I am reminded of the good & the bad Junior High & High school had to offer, yet given the chance- I'd do it all over again!
Workplace
I have been with Noteworthy for over 5 years. I work in the Specialty Products Division that handles products for National Crime Prevention Council and Keep America Beautiful. For the first 4 years I was in Customer Service and absolutely loved it. In 2002, I moved into the Marketing department and was doing telephone sales, more money...but not as enjoyable. Within that year I was also given the responsiblity of a different branch of business called Graphic City Inc., whose product line is presentation folders. In September, 2003, I became a Premier Designs jeweler. I'm running my own business in addition to working at Noteworthy, and am thoroughly enjoying the extra benefits of being my own boss on the side.
As of the end of October, 2003, I was asked to return to my position in Customer Service when they released the girl that was handling it. In addition to being back to the job I LOVE, they have given me the option to continue to telemarket during slow periods so that I still have some of the commission that our budget was enjoying.
