Kristina's Story

School I LOVED elementry school. Walteria (In Torrance, CA) was the best school ever! I moved in the 5th grade to North Dakota for about 3 months during the winter- then we returned to Torrance. I then went to Richardson Middle School in Torrance, but then we moved to Newbury Park in April during my 6th grade year. Since Ventura County had a different grade scale- I was put back into elementry school-this time it was Cypress Elementry. I hated it. Everything was so different. But I did like the out door school up in the Mallibu Mtns. for that week!...Then I went to Sequoia Intermediant School for 7th and 8th grade. It was okay. I was one of the captains of the tall flag team- which was "cool" in middle school!...Well, at least we all thought so. Back then I remember kissing a boy was such a huge deal! My first kiss was in 7th grade, at the high school homecoming game. I met Mike Jankoviak under the bleachers, and we kissed as my friends were hiding to watch us. Right as we kissed, one of my friends yelled, "TOUCHDOWN!". It was embarrassing. It was such a big deal!...Then I made captain of the freshmen cheer squad- and everyone was pissed at me. The girls all had their own ideas about who was "suppose" to be captain. I never fit in with the cheerleaders- even though I was stero-typed as one. I never dated a football player, although there were rumors about me all the time...I had a GPA of 3.75, but I was always called a ditzy blonde...There were many, many rumors spread about me...but I never cared. I had my close friends and my beliefs, and I'm still standing. It only got to me when someone threatend my life over a stupid boy. So I transffered schools. My Junior and Senior year I went to Thousand Oaks High School. It was a larger school, and the students wern't SO concerened about who was with who or what people were wearing. There wern't AS MUCH rich, spoiled, know-it alls as there were at NP. i felt like I fit in a little more. I made the captain of their cheer squad as well, but this time they picked me. I had an awesome senior year with my friends Monica and Lindsey. I didn't really socialize a whole lot in high school, and some thought it was because i was a snob or something- but truth be told- I just wasn't a big social butterfly.(and I'm still not!) I joined the cheer squad becau...Expand for more
se i love to perform and dance- not for the popularity like some joined for!...I tried to be nice to everyone I met, and I tried to do good in school too. I'm sorry if some took things the wrong way, but I am who I am. And for the record..I only dated a couple guys. If i had it to do all over again...I would have been more out-going and I would have dated more. =0) (j/k) Well..all I have got to say is thank god high school is over! Like I said in my life bio- I tried the college thing down in Orange County for a semester, but it wasn't for me at all! So- I learned the computer (both mac and pc) through my job at CompUSA, and now I am here and if I hadn't been through all I've been through (which is more than what is in this bio), I wouldn't be the person I am today!...Everything happens for a reason! College I knew I'd hate college, and I did. I thought that maybe it would be more adult-like than high school was, but it wasn't. I never fit in to that whole party scene, and never wanted to. I was too busy taking care of my own stuff. I wasn't one of those rich daddy's girls who got everything paid for- I had to work it all out on my own. I was living alone in an apartment, working 2 full time jobs, paying for everything on my own, and going to college. No wonder why I only made it through one semester. No bother though-I plan on taking some classes here and there just to keep learning- but doing what I want to do- life experience is worth more then a piece of paper! Workplace I have tested out many fields. I was a hostess/waitress at the local resturant in NP all throuought high school, I am a v.p. of my families company, personal expressions....I worked in an old ladies clothing store at the south coast plaza for 8 months...then compUSA for another 8 months...then at a furniture store...I worked at a Long's for like a month-if that!..And Kinko's for about a month....and then as an admin. assistant for a company that designs and builds small uav's for the military. And now I work for a CPA and for a medical billing company....I have gained many useful skills throughout my jobs- and am knowledgable on many topics. In the next few years, who knows what I will be doing- but In the future, when we start a family, I will be a mom- the hardest job of all.... Wish me luck. Hahaha.
