Kristina's Story
Life
I married Mark Collins in September 1989. We have two kids--Matthew born in 1992 and Katie born in 1998. We still live in Gulfport and have one dog--Maggie, a shih tzu with an attitude. I worked several places since graduation--Clay Miles Insurance, Mattina Insurance, Phillips Colleges, and Gulf Coast Community Federal Credit Union. I quit the credit union to be a stay-at-home mom in 2001. I only lasted for a year and then became a part-time preschool teacher at Mississippi City United Methodist Church. both worlds--working with little ones for 3 hours a day, but still home for my kids in the afternoons. This summer I was offered the full-time Youth Minister position at church (same one). It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. It meant giving up working at the preschool every day. I never thought that I would miss those sweet little kids as much as I do, but it is also the best decision that I have ever made. God has put me in a position to be able to touch the lives of some amazing young people, and for them to touch mine. I am TRULY blessed in all aspects of my life!
