Kristine's Story
The biggest thing I learned at Tolt is that I learned NOTHING at Tolt. Believe it or not but I went on to become a teacher and earn my Masters degree. One of my most challenging jobs but where I got the most satisfaction was working at a low income minority middle school (7-9th). My first year I was stuck out in a portable all by myself with 9th grade boys 6 feet tall . The girls all had attitudes and the boys could careless what I had to say because they were all going to play profession...Expand for more
al basketball one day. I won them over with my sarcastic Wit and life experiences. I worked there for almost 5 years until I had my first child and took a year off. I now work in an elementary school and work with all the students teacher's can't handle. The students who are a behavior problem one way or another (can't sit still, are bullies, throw fits, you name it). I have since had another child and love what I do. Better be nice or I might have to knock you down and restrain you! HA
