Kris's Story
Ok so... Wow it has been a long long time. I see some names of people that I have known since Gulf Avenue School. I don't see people much but I have not gone far from home base. Well, I did move out of the immediate area but just north a short ways. I went to Dominguez Hills then Long Beach State right after hi school. Then I married a cop, had a daughter, moved to Torrance and was soon divorced. I remarried had more kids and currently work in the non-profit world. I devote most of my time to family. have a son who is 19 and two sons (ages 7 and 6) that keep me busy. The youngest , Joey Kai, has Autism so I have become an advocate for kids with disabilities. My best friends still remain Toi Clark and Maria "Jujy" Morales. We talk on a regular basis. My parents and their siblings all attended Banning. I was the last of the family to be a pilot. I guess it is in my blood. I feel like it never ended. I feel like I will wake up tomorrow and be at a noon dance in the cafeteria or at a house party in Carson or a football game with my Pilot jacket on and my best friend standing next to me. Those were the days.
