Kristine's Story
College
Western in the late 60's early 70's was the typical campus changing from lots of rules to a more relaxed atmosphere--all influenced by the changing times of anti-war and free-love! I lived in the Ridgeway Complex (Omega) and worked at Ridgeway Saga. Many fond memories. Got married before my junior year and moved off campus, but still worked at Saga. Majored in Business Education with a minor in Economics, student taught in Tacoma at Stadium High School. Loved my college experience.
Career

the 1980's and was transferred to Henry Foss HS in September 1987 when the high schools added the freshmen. Taught in a rapidly changing field that challenged me to learn and improve my skills yearly. Also, served as adviser to Future Business Leaders of America from 1987 until I retired in 2014. Teaching 41 years whizzed by--I simply loved teaching young people!
Retirement
Beginning June 30, 2014, I retired. I spend my time: substituting for former colleagues; scrapbooking for my children and grandchildren; reading; gardening; walking Jake, our chocolate lab; and helping my mother a bit so she can remain in her home at 93.
