Krystal's Story
Life
After graduating from high school in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, I attended the University of Iowa. I graduated from Iowa in 2001 with a BA in both Spanish and Psychology. I entered a Master's program in Counseling at Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC) in 2002, and recently graduated from that program (May 2004). I am currently attending The Pennsylvania State University (aka Penn State) working toward a PhD in Counseling Psychology. Basically, I am a professional student at this point in my life! And I love it! (sometimes)
School
I went to three high schools so this might take a while to complete.
I first attended Enloe High School (most of 9th grade)- it's kind-of a blur because it was so long ago. I really enjoyed Enloe and the friends I made there. If you were one of those friends PLEASE contact me! I want to be in touch!
Next I attended Western High School (March of 9th grade till the end of 11th grade). Western is kind-of a blur as well. I took economics with Mr. (??- he loved Disney stuff- that's all I remember) and I really enjoyed it- that's probably the highlight. In addition to the Step Team!! That was the best! gain, if you went to Western and we were friends contact me! (I realize that I didn't really talk that much at Western- you might actually remember me as really quiet!)
Finally, Ft. Dodge Senior High for my senior year. It was a good time- I met a lot of cool people that I am still in contact with. I enjoyed Anatomy class with Mr. Long, and I LOVED attending ICCC for college level classes. I love FD!
That's my high school experience.
College
The University of Iowa! Oh, how I love thee! My three years at Iowa were the best! I have so many fond memories- marching in the homecoming parade as an ARH officer, 4th floor Daum, Currier N Ground, Burge RA, the river, the IMU, 24/7, Parkview church, Black Genesis, psychology classes, spanish classes, study abroad in Spain, spanish conversation hour, ethnography of the Willowwind school, the Ped Mall, the public library, the house the girls and I wanted to live in, the cabin boys, the pan boys, colorado trip, walking to the bank, parallel parking the coche pequeno y rojo, volunteering at the broadway street community center, orchestra practice and performances... there's so much to recall!
