Kurt's Story
Life
Whenever I talk to friends, I always say, "I go to work, I go home, make dinner, do some writing, read, and go to bed. Then I repeat it all over again." That's pretty much my life. The thing is, I'm completely happy with all of that. It's all very comfortable, natural, and peaceful. I'm an adult, that's what most of us do. It'd be great if someone were trying to kill me, or I was out foiling bank holdups, but that's not reality. The day I realized that was the day I relaxed and just started to live my life.
My days are spent teaching high school English at Mason High School. I did teach at Lakota for 6 years, but when your ex-wife teaches down the hall, things can get a bit complicated (and irritating). So I ju...Expand for more
mped towns, and now teach sophomore English and run the yearbook. Without any past experience or abilities, I also talked the athletic director into letting me coach 7th grade girls basketball which is a total riot.
My wife is a teacher in Finneytown, is smarter than I am, and is going to have a baby (hopefully mine) in less than a month. The fact that the government has allowed me to breed frightens my students and friends.
We live in Fairfield Township, spend too much money on books (yes, we are nerds), and run (not from the police...yet) four times a week. It's a good life.
Military
Let's all just agree that the country is a much safer place without me serving in the military. My hat's off to all who do though.
