Kurt's Story
Workplace
From my late teens until I was 21 I was a manager for Mobil Oil Corp. Then floated between school and work for a few years. In the early to mid '80's I survived by acting, doing singing telegrams, stand-up comedy, writing comedy sketches for local theatres, improv comedy, and stripping. In 1985 I developed nodules on my vocal chords and had them surgically removed. I couldn't perform for six months while I healed and that's when I started driving for Quicksilver A...Expand for more
irport Service. In 1989, I was named V.P. and General Manager of Quicksilver. From 1989-1994 I built that company from a 22 car fleet to a 65 car fleet, but after a fallling out with ownership I left Quicksilver. I stayed in transportation and eventually owned my own co. Premier Transportation from 2001-2003. On March 7, 2003 I was in a bad car wreck and received a traumatic brain injury, which I'm still recovering from.
