Kyla's Story

After graduation, I went to work for the Colorado Department of Corrections/Division of Adult Parole and Community Corrections. In 2005, I met my husband through mutual friends and shortly thereafter, I moved to a small town in Southern Colorado, where he lived. We married in July 2006 and our son was born ...Expand for more
in July 2007. As much as I enjoyed my job, I couldn't stand to be away from my baby boy all day, so after a total of 10 years working for DOC, I quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom. My family and I recently moved back to the Denver area because my husband accepted a job opportunity in the Centennial area.
