La Rue's Story
Life
I am a lot different now than I was in high school and I feel I have lived at least ten lives since then. What an adventure!!
I have Bought a 1910 Farm House and moved to Creston NC looking for a place to settle for the next few years away from the chaos of big cities in the mountains. I still plan to travel extensively and continue to learn and grow personally.
I have recently completed the classroom requirements to become a Certified Master Gardener andhave been performing volunteer work to complete that process. Love native plants, growing food and flowers, and learning more about all aspects of gardening.
School
My years in the Langdale AL school system were the happiest of my life. It was traumatic to transfer into Valley High School and be merged in with people from all the surrounding communities. Overall there are many fond memories of people and events from that period of my life.
College

Workplace
I spent the major part of my working career at BellSouth, taking assignments with AT&T in New Jersey and Atlanta as well. With an early out package from BellSouth I was able to move into Consulting in the Wireless Communications arena, which led me to working for BusinessEdge Solutions for a year. I also worked for T-Mobile Wireless Communications for five years where I traveled extensively supporting the technology in their Customer Care and Financial Care Call Centers. I am now in a position to work periodically but not have to take assignments I won't enjoy or learn from. I went to California to work with a new telecommunications company that was in acquisition mode and needed help managing the chaos, which is my speciality. I was in LA most of the time from May through November 2007. I have not had any assignments since that time and have spent considerable time taking care of health issues and learning to entertain myself outside of working. Still learning....
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Sally Correll(sp?), because she was my best friend in kindergarten and then moved away..
