Life
Well, between a marriage, 2 sons, a divorce, another marriage, and a beautiful daughter, I finally managed to finish my college degree in Social Work. My older son is married to a wonderful gal, and they have blessed us with the most precious Grandson!! My younger son is currently serving in Iraq, so this has been a very rough year for all of us. My daughter is a Freshman in HS. I also have 2 wonderful stepsons whom I love dearly. The older stepson is married to a great gal, and they have given us 2 Grandsons.....so we only have Grandsons, which is probably a good thing, because I'm finding that girls are about 10 times harder to raise than the boys were!
I've been married to my current husband, Gary, for almost 20 years. And strange as this sounds, my ex and his wife are among my very closest friends.
As I've gotten older, I've realized how very special my High School days were.I was raised a "military brat", hence attended numerous schools. I consider F...Expand for more
airview High School as "my school", because I moved there and began my sophomore year, and it was delightful because I fit right in, and never felt like "an outsider". To this day, my FHS friends are the BEST! Once a Yellowjacket, always a Yellowjacket, I suppose. My class was very close, and even though I don't see her often, my HS best friend remains my best friend. She's always just a phone call or e-mail away!
Life is good, but a lot more difficult than we once thought. Please keep my son, and all our troops, in your thoughts and prayers. Even if you do not support the war, you can support our troops.
Update: My son, Josh, has returned safely from Iraq. My concern now is the lurking possibility that he might have to go back, as he was deployed with another Unit other than his own......sort of "adopted". His original Unit has yet to go, and if this Unit is deployed, my son will return to active duty in Iraq. Continue to Support our Troops.......Thanks!
