Lamar's Story
Moved from Florida to Iowa to continue my education. Have a degree in Biology with a minor in chemistry and teach high school biology / chemistry in Kansas City, Missouri. I have a masters in secondary science education. Married for 55 years this September. Have three daughters and nine grandchildren. Go home to Gainesville every summer to visit my mom, dad died last year. I miss my GTO but own a Mustang GT convertible, middle age thing. Gained weight, lost hair, going old sucks but beats the alternative! Sent all my GHS newspapers and other things to the kids in the 45th reunion, enjoy guys.
Things I miss:
1. Playing football with the guys.
2. Fast cars.
3. Summers ...Expand for more
at the beach.
4. Mr. Strickland's physics class. (he's the reason I become a science teacher)
5. My neighbor Donna Pothier. (wish she would write me)
6. Mrs. Bennett's English class. (there was an angle if ever there was one)
7. Friday night football games.
8. Cruising the town at night on weekend nights.
9. My GTO. (there was a car made to drive)
10. Drive in movies (let's just leave it at that, Linda!!!!!)
11. And most of all, all you guys that were so special to me for those years. Some of you were my classmates from elementary school through high school. I haven't forgotten you. I hope God has been good to you. I loved you all!!
