Lana's Story
Life
Well, here's the short version....... way back when we all graduated in 1990 at PGSS (wow it's been 17 years already??) I started working at Gundy's New's (a book and magazine wholesale warehouse) and stayed there for 7 years (best job I ever had) until I was laid off in 1998. I then worked for a Vancouver based Magazine wholesale company, part time for a year or so. I then worked for a courier company called BDC for a couple of years. I drove a truck and a van to various surrounding cities and delivered bank documents and parcels. That job took me to Ft. St. John, B.C. and I headed up the warehouse and office there. I gave myself six months to see if it was going to be worth it for me and it didn't cause they didn't give me the pay I was promised. So I went to work for Petron Communications in Ft. St. John, B.C.,for over a year and decided to follow my then boyfriend to Edmonton, A.B where he got a job. That didn't work out so I stayed in Edmonton for awhile and stayed with my job that I had for almost 2 years at Allcan Electronics/Westcan Wireless and then I found my soulmate through a dating service, LIFEMATES (I never wanted to do ...Expand for more
those silly things but this one worked) and I followed him to Fort McMurray where we now live today after being together for 5 years. As the announcement says we got married in Maui, Hawaii (Oct, 2006). we are not having any kids but we have 2 dogs and that works out great for us.(Yes I know it's taken me this long to get married, but it was well worth the wait) I now work in the Oil Sands Industry ( We both work at Suncor ) where it is the busiest and most expensive place to live but there is much money to be made here and when we retire in 15 to 20 years we will be exactly where we want to be.
Andrew is divorced and has one son 10 years. Gerald Jr is married and has two sons 10 and 8 years. Andrew will be living in Kelowna B.C. going to computer graphics school and Jr still lives in Prince George. My parents moved to Kelowna just after I graduated and have been there ever since, they are actually moving back to P.G. soon though. My mom starts her new job in October 2007. Through all my moving adventures I have still been able to travel back home and see my family once or twice a year.
