I have somehow survived on this sphere for 75 years now and as I reflect back on my time here, it has been good for the most part. I have two wonderful sons who have grown into superb men with marvelous families of their own and I am very proud of them. I discovered...Expand for more
long ago that my purpose for being here is to teach and while that has manifested itself in many different ways for me over the past 50+ years, I am in a place now where teaching has taken on a new definition or manifestation for me. I was unceremoniously let go from the teaching position I had held for 9 years at Full Sail University. It was a classic case of economic downsizing, but it tore at the values of loyalty in me. Now, I must channel my love of teaching back into my consulting practice I have had since 1980.
I suppose if there is one area of my life where I sometimes struggle, it is with the notion that while I like me, and therefore don't mind being alone, there are times when I feel the burning desire for someone to share all I have in my life. I have known the pain of both leaving and being left, both leave you utterly torn and broken, and I honestly do not know yet which is worse. No one should be alone though, unless they want to be, so I continue to harbor hope that I will someday once again realize the promise of a relationship. In the meantime, I live and I grow....and laugh whenever I can.".
