Oregon. During the summers and after school from 9th-12th grade (and a little after12th) I worked on a large farm in Oregon. I also worked for a short time at the Multnomah Athletic Club in downtown Portland after high school. When I was 19, I went to work at Nordstrom (Washington Square), started in the women's shoe stockroom and then sold women's shoes for 1 1/2 years before getting into management for 3 months (Lloyd Center) and then moving to the East Coast (McLean, VA) with Nordstrom in the spring of 1988. The Tysons Corner store in McLean was the first store that Nordstrom opened up away from the West Coast.
I spent almost 20 years with Nordstrom in a variety of management, buying and merchandising roles. I then went to work for Jimlar, as an account executive for the Southeast territory selling the Coach women's shoes; my accounts were all of the major department stores and key independents. I then took a year off, traveled and looked at a variety of options outside of retail/fashion and then went to work in real estate. Real estate has been GREAT, I truly enjoy all of the aspects of what I do.
I'm married and have two sons, enjoy a variety of sports, we are active in our church. Overall I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude for everything God has given me and taken me through!!".
