Lanna's Story
I joined our graduating class in our 8th grade year while part of us were going to Miller Junior High... My parents and I were the ones who built the second house out on the La Posta Road next to the smaller Isgar Ranch. I was one of those quiet cowgirls of the class thinking I was going to be going to college that fall tossing whether to go into law enforcement or medical field, but as we all know plans do change. I met and married my kids dad our senior year of school and married him that summer, thus school was put on hold and a family was started. Having moved to the east coast for his military career, we lived in the MD/PA area for three years. We moved home shortly until a major oilfield layoff, and a move to OR for the trucking industry. rothers. I went back to school and became a CNA/Rehab tech. After a move to NV for a few years and while there I was fortunate to be employed by Amazon.com. Another job I loved each and every moment and one to still say I am very proud of. During this job tenor I was fortunate to have my kids dad, and my two oldest work in the same facility with me. We came home in 2006 and a sad to say a divorce occurred.
UPDATE: I have moved to NW AZ, Kingman to be exact and remarried Pat, 8 months after he suffered a massive stroke and lived. We have moved into our little apartment, but am now sad to say Pat has had another stroke and has passed away. At this time I am debating whether I am missing Durango and the state of Colorado so very much. I am curreing here in AZ until I get other matters worked out. I want to come home so badly. On the brighter note, we were blessed with our newest and latest granddaughter. Grandma is sure proud of her. Hope to talk to whom ever wants to. Look forward to hearing from you.
