Lara's Story
Okay, I guess I'll start at story mid-point.. very "Momento"...
I'm the luckiest girl ever. I've landed myself the best, sexiest, strongest, smart, silly, cool hubby ever. His name is Marc and he and our four kids are my world. I stay at home with our youngest two (Peter 3 and Emily almost 2). I also run my own consulting service from home and cater now and then. Our two oldest kiddies (Ryan 14 and Kaytie 9) take up a lot of time. Ryan is an aspiring singer/songwriter and competion swimmer. Kaytie is in to horseback riding, clothes and being a diva. I live in the burbs of Baltimore hon and I love it. Don't miss the valley at all! Except for Moms, Da and the bros.
That said, say the important things first, I've done a few things in my many years since Sparta (e.g. CUHS).
After school I pretty much partied, started college, screwed that up.. then enlisted in the U.S. Navy (N.A.V.Y. never again volunteer yourself). I did some serious growing up durring Desert Storm the prequill. The best part though was I spent almost my whole tour in Spain. I loved that! Traveled a whole lot and really became a world citizen. In fact the hubby and I reciently did the European va/ca thing sans offspring and loved it. While in the Nav I ...Expand for more
got married to a good guy, who made (and makes) a better pal than a hubby. Ryan and Kaytie are his by blood, Marc's by choice.
Kharma played a screwed up joke on me and I ended up back in the valley. There I worked as a Investigative Assistant doing intel stuff for the U.S. Customs Office of Investigations in EC (sounds cewl huh, wasn't!). The joke turned out to be more like a kharmic gift though cuz I met my match, my man, there. He is a Special Agent with what is now, post 911, the Dept of Homeland Security. Oh, I also did a stint at IVC as the assistant to the dean, got a few poems published, started my own catering service, did the college thing and came to terms with myself as a grown up.
We moved our family to Baltimore where we love it. I'm working on a book, due out sometime after my agent gets it picked up. I learned that we all grow and become different people (good and bad) and that every person we've known helps make us who we are.
So I'm looking to find some of you and thank you. Maybe you liked me and were a friend. Maybe I pissed you off and you've been waiting to tell me about it. Either way it's all good, I'd love to hear from ya. I hope you all have a great story to tell, and I'd love to hear it!
