Lara's Story
Life
Right after high school, I went to Arizona State University. I worked at KUPD rock radio as Michelle Micholz on the over nights. After one year, I missed Colorado so I came back and began my second year at UCCS. I worked at KKFM as Michelle Micholz on overnights and weekend movie premiers and motor city remotes. I played in a band called Dead Fennigan, which was kind of hard metal with Celtic overtones. That was fun. I did this until 1992 when I graduated with my Bachelors in Organizational Management. When I graduated, there was a job in Kansas City working for a doctor group. I worked out of Wichita Kansas where I continued to play in bands and learn the ropes of Medical Adminis...Expand for more
tration. I played in two bands there. One of my bands was fortunate enough to tour with the Coors Summer Spectacular. We recorded a CD and played hard. After awhile, I again got home sick and moved back to Colorado in 1996. I worked for Colorado Springs Health partners and left the music scene as I was burned out. I have worked in Medical Administration for 10 years. Next, I became an Instructor and Assistant Director of Career Services at Blair College for four years. Right now, I am attending Grad school full time. I never got married, been too busy playing. I dont have any children. (goes with the first). Life is fun and I dont think Ill slow down anytime soon. How about you guys?
