Larry's Story
Life
Stayed living in the western US, mostly in Oregon. Went to nine colleges on and off and collected a couple AA degrees and a teaching certificate in the Empowerment Series. Ran my own business for 10 plus years. Was active in city government and was on city council for a 4 year term. Own one house in one town and live in another. Been married twice for a total of 30 years. Have three kids, one adopted and in June, three g-kids. Life is still full of surprises. away. I finally went through many doctors and tests and found out what I have is Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. (scar tissue in the bottom of the lungs) The story line is that it is non reparable and it is progressive. My hiking has gone away and my lungs are down to 41% capacity now. I don't feel sorry for myself, I just wish that it had been found out earlier. My "want list" of things to do is still there. I still walk all I can with an ox. tank on my back. If there are things that you might want to do in life, go for it. "Time waits for no man!"
