Larry's Story
I only attended Oak Harbor High school for a year and a half. I got there in mid 63 and left after completing the 11th grade. I went by my middle name, Don. I joined the Marines and went to Viet Nam three times in six years. Got tired of getting shot at and left the Marines. I worked on the railroad for about 4 years and then join the Navy. I retired from the Navy in 92. I then taught NJROTC in high school for 15 years and retired. My second wife and I have been married for 20 years. Her name is Treasure and yes, she is a Treasure. She is from Georgia as was my first wife. Something about these Georgia girls. I am now retir...Expand for more
ed and drawing my Social Security. I know hardly anyone remembers me, but I have very fond memories of Oak Harbor. My mother and siter now live in Marysville and I go there once a year to visit. I always go to the island and visit all the old places I used to go. I contacted Tim Mills at one time, but have lost contact with him over the last few years. Anyone know where he's at? And then there was Lee. I believe her name was Lee Galivant. I have always wondered what happened to my friend Lee. She was so nice to me when I first came to Oak Harbor and had no friends. God bless you Lee. Thanks for the memories.
