Larry's Story

Life Life's been great!! Isn't that what we all want to say. My life has been quite good for the most part. I'm onto my second marriage so obviously there were some down times but all is well with the world now. I changed careers about 4 times in four years but have been working in my current field with the same company since 1987 though my role has changed a few times. I get to work with Beer, ok not directly but close enough, how bad can life be!! I also have a few hobbies which at time help generate extra income. I have a computer sales and training business which I spend very little time with. I have also managed to earn a little extra cash with freelance writing. I have an 11 year old son who is my greatest blessing! I also have 2 beautiful step-daughters aged 27 and 22 respectfully. I was very shy in high school and now I'm looking to renew old friendships and make new ones with people with whom I didn't get the chance to the first time around. I see people reading my profile, reading my e-mails but only a few have responded. Send me a quick note to say hi. I'd love to hear from you. Take care all!! School I loved my time at Lemoyne D'Iberville. It was a great school and the people were fantastic. I wish I had not been so shy back in those days. I regret that I only made a few close friends in high school. I was always under a lot of stress due to my home life and tried to keep that inside. Not necessarily the best way to deal with things but what can you do. Part of my shyness came, I believe, from the fact that between the ages of 9 and 13 I went to 7 different schools. Lemoyne made me feel like ...Expand for more
I was part of a family. Within months of leaving Lemoyne for Champlain College, family matters had me move to Toronto over the Christmas vacation and I never had a chance to say good bye to some good friends. If you remember me, drop me a line. Even if you don't remember me, send me an e-mail anyways and we can try and figure out the connection if any. I don't see James Crosland here but if any of you are in contact with him, please pass on my best wishes. College I went to Champlain College for 1 semester only. Family issues had me move to Toronto over the Christmas holiday and I was not able to say goodbye to the friends I made. The following September I got into U of Toronto in the business program. Over the past 25 years I have attended numerous post secondary courses in the computer field at various training facilities and management courses at the Canadian Management Centre in downtown Toronto. I am a certified Project Management Professional and am planning on attending York University to get my Masters in Project Management and I am currently a member of the Project Management Institute Workplace I started out in sales many moons ago, worked in, then managed a Restuarant, had a short career in a field I will only tell my closest of friends:) and then moved onto Computers. I recently earned my certificate as a PMP Project Management Professional. I am the Project Manager for the Technical Services division for The Beer Store and am always having to learn and implement new technologies. The Beer Store has 436 stores in Ontario. I spend most of my work day in meetings or performing Project Management.
