Larry's Story

Life After High School, I studied at the U. of T. in French and German for 1 year, then transferred to Laval University in Quebec City where I completed my BA in French with a concentration in teaching French as a second language. I married while a student and settled in the Quebec City region where I still live. After 6 years working for the Red Cross, I decided to abandon my day job and become a free-lance writer, specializing in horticulture which had been a favourite hobby since I was a teen. ved into middle class, am remarried (to Marie), and still write full time about gardening. I write columns for various newspapers and magazines, have written about 30 books in English and in French, work regularly on several TV and radio shows (mostly in French so far), lecture across North America, teach horticulture at Laval University, and lead garden tours around the world. I occasionally get to Toronto, mostly to lecture or to tape TV show segments. One thing from King that I've kept has been an involvement in theatre: I regularly play with the Quebec Art Company, a local English-language amateur theatre company. That's all folks!
