Larry Innanen:  

After graduating from Glendale I went to UWO ('Western') where I spent two years in the Honours Geography Program. I wrote the LSAT, was accepted into Western Law School and graduated in 1973. In 1971 Patricia ('Trish') Nagy and I were married and we lived in the married students apartments until we both graduated. I articled with Giffen, Pensa in London, wrote the Bar Admission exams in Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1975. Trish and I returned to Tillsonburg and I practiced at Gibson, Linton & Toth until the end of 1975. In 1976 I opened my own law practice in Tillsonburg and practiced there until 1982 when I closed my practice and joined the Legal Department at John Labatt Limited (JLL) in London. Trish and I had four children - Pamela, Mike, Meridith and David. Pamela passed away in 1975 while we were in Tillsonburg when she was just 14 months old. Mike and his wife, Summer , moved from Toronto to Vancouver in 2014. They have one child Dylan who was born in 2018. Meridith and her husband, Kevin, live in Toronto and have two children ( our granddaughter Charlie and our grandson,Theo). David and his girlfriend, Crystal, moved from Vancouver to Toronto in 2011. We spent 10 years with JLL in London and that is where our three youngest children went to public school, played sports and generally enjoyed their friends and the community. I started as a Corporate Solicitor in the JLL Legal Department, became the Corporate Secretary in 1987 and the Director of Legal Services for Canada in 2000. We moved from London to Oakville in 1992 (30 years ago!) when I became the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Labatt Brewing Company Limited.
