Larry's Story
Life
Hello, from the White Mountains of Arizona. I have been working as a career employee for the State of New Mexico for the past 22 years as Medical Director of a 250-bed longterm care facility, Fort Bayard Medical Center. Since I rent housing on the facility grounds, it became necessary for respite from the workplace to find a permanent home somewhere else. Since 1985, we have owned a log home in Pinetop, Arizona which is located in East-central Arizona about 200 miles from where I work. ical School, receiving an M.D. degree in 1974. Then completed 3 years Internal Medicine residency at U. of Arkansas Med. Ctr. in Little Rock. We moved to New Mexico in 1977 and after realizing I wouldn't be able to enjoy my family tied down to a 7-day a week practice, I became employed in a job with regular hours, with plenty of challenges over the years caring for a variety of disabled and elderly persons, and have immense experience in geriatric medicine [certified as a medical director in nursing home care] My off-work pastimes include still jogging about 10-12 miles a week, taking long wal ks with my standard poodle {we also have 2 miniature poodles}, playing piano, reading, and working on our property planting trees, shrubs, etc. Well, that's a snapshot of my bio and hope things are going well for any of you who may take time to read this. I enjoyed my 2 years at Brewer and still tell people that we had the best band in Texas!
