After HS I made a filed attempt at going to college. Wound up in the Air Force for 4 years. Got to see the foreign lands of Georgia (state not country) where I met my wife of 44 years. Came back to Gatesville in 73 and worked at various jobs. Was working at the State School in maintenance when they closed. I had 2 years VA bennies and 2 years remaining on a degree so I wound up at A&M for my degree in Telecommunications. Got a job with St. Regis Paper Co. for what I thought was a ridiculous wage of 30K in 81. Since then I have worked for Continuum in Austin, Hogan Systems in Dallas, Fina Oil and Chemicals in Dallas(now Total), Moved to Houston in 2000 by Total. In 2007 I joined the ranks of the retired and became an Airport Bum full time. Worked with Bud Warren who developed auto engines and Prop Speed Reduction Units (PSRUs) for airplanes.
