Larry's Story
Life
After graduating from Central, I attended UW-La Crosse. I graduated in 1967 with a triple major in math, Physics, and Chemistry. I did a year of graduate work at UW-Madison in Theoretical Chemistry, and earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Lawrence University.
I worked for several years in the paper industry, than several more in plastics. I have lived in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, Wisconsin, and currently, in Minnesota. I married a girl from West bend Wisconsin (Marilyn) in 1966. I lost her in a car accident in 2003. I married Bonnie (from Dubuque, Iowa) in 2004. Bonnie is retired from managing Hallmark stores. Together, we have nine grand children.
My kids are Julie (age 40)(Minneapolis), Jim, (age 33) (Minneapolis), and Elizabeth, (age 30) (Trempealeau).
We have a condo in La Crosse and will spend summers there when I retire in 2010. We plan to retire in South Carolina.
I recently took up the drums again. I haven't played since high school.
