Larry's Story
John, Linda, Jim, Dave and me. 35 Pleasant Avenue, River Drive Park, Ontario. Park Avenue Public School. Grade 3 Miss Harris. I was the one who had a sheet of bristol board attached to the back of my seat because I loved to talk to my brother Dave who sat behind me. Just liked to talk to him, anytime, anywhere, any class. The Hoods, Bennett's, Philpott's, Walkers, Chaput's,Madden's, the red headed kid that snuck out early and ran home like the wind every day. lived on Oak street.
My side of the street - The Boddington's, Eadie Hurst, Rogers, Johnnie Vandelere, Cowie's, Monica Seidel, The Sunday School, Slaughter's, Louise ?, The Bennett's (owned the store, Joan would always give us the bottom of the ice cream barrel. Ice cream cone was 6cents, 16 oz Pepsi was 16 cents. Wouldn't trade my childhood for anything, eventhough we all basically lived in shitholes that had no insulation.
Dan Hood and I would ride horses all summer and roll sod when we needed money, Frank Watt, built the swimming hole, crystal clear water with a clay bottom. Unfortunately, the pesticides used for the sod seeped in and it had to be closed. If you know me,. Love to hear from you and I go by LAWREN now. The abbreviation for Lawrence. You would have known me as Larry. Hated that name.

My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong.
