Larry's Story
I graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1966, which I attended from the 7th through the 12th grade and was a member of the marching and school band.
My parents were active during my tenure at Dunbar. My father was part-owner of the C & R Victone Cleaners on the corner of Federal Street and Patterson Park Avenue. My mothers was a housewife and worked in the cleaners. I have two sisters, both graduates of Dunbar, Marilyn (Class of 1965) and Dessiree (Class of 1976), still residing in Baltimore.
After high school, I worked at Bethlehem Steel, until my call to the military in Juky 1968. Instead of being drafted, I choose to enlisted in the U. S. Army. My last duty assigned was with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Mobile) in Vietnam in 1971, when I separated from active duty.
I got married in 1976 and got divorced in 1991. I am currently single. . I have two gown children; a son Danaye' and a daughter Tristin, a...Expand for more

I stayed active in the U.S. Army Reserve before reentering on active duty in August 1979 until my retirement from the U.S. Army in February 2000 at Fort McPherson, Georgia. I retired at the rank of Sergeant Major. I completed my Bachelor of Arts at Columbia College in Missouri in 1998 while stationed in St Louis.
I enrolled in the Masters program at Central Michigan University at Fort McPherson in 2000. in October 2000, I accepted a position as a "Loan Analyst" at the U. S. Department of Education. I completed my Masters Degree (Master of Science in Administration, Human Resources Management) in December 2001.
I am a member of Faith Christian Center since 1995, when it was first located in Fayetteville, then relocated to College Park and currently located in Smyna, Georgia.
I credit both the school administrators and teachers at Dunbar from all of my academic and career.
