Larry's Story

I retired from a 32 year railroad career in 1996. In 1998, my wife Linda (Wick) and I’m purchased a small bar & resort in Rhinelander and ran it until 2003 when we sold it and retired for good. We moved to Eagle River after selling the business and I still reside there now. I lost Linda in May 2013 to lung cancer after 44 ye...Expand for more
ars of marriage. For the five years prior to her death, we had wintered in Mission, Texas. This year (2014) I spent half the winter in Texas and am spending the remainder in Green Valley, Az. It is absolutely beautiful here. I play a lot of golf and recently took up the sport of pickleball which I love. Died 12/13/17

Playing golf today Nogales with Tina and CC. Just loving life.
Played Los Lagos in Edinburg Texas yesterday. 76 degrees with an 8 mph breeze. Shot an 87 (Tina had a 92). Its not too often that I can beat her. Here's a pic of the 18th green. Doesn't get much better than this.
Played golf today. 76 degrees with lots of sun and a nice breeze off the golf. Went to McAllen last nite to see the parakeets that just came to town. Hundreds of them flying all over. Beautiful birds.
Here's a nice pic of an apple cactus just down the street from my new house in Texas.
Great day today. Three, count em, three birdies on the back 9 at Whispering Pines. My putter was smokin!!!!!!
