Albert's Story
Life
I grew up in Redstone, MT entered the U.S Army in 1959, and am now a retired helicopter pilot. During my Army career, I spent almost 5 years in South Korea, 3 years in Germany and was in Vietnam three times. I worked on and flew helicopters, my whole career and loved every minute of it.
My hobby is building and flying RC helicopters, especially tandem rotor helicopters.
I have four children and my present wife has two and together, we have eight grandchildren. My oldest grandson made us great grand parents in 2009 with Kaleb, then again in 2013, with Kasey, then in 2015 with Keagan. Granddaughter Janessa gave us Hennesey in 2016 and Marilyn's granddaughter, Sydney gave us Soren in 2017 and Kobus in 2019. Our newest great grandson, from grandaughter, Jannessa Edgar, is Branum Reed Edgar, born on my daughter, Michelle's birthday, June 18th. The ot...Expand for more
her granddaughter of Marilyn's, Skylar, added great granddaughter, Constane Lynn Pollock, on February 7th, 2022. Then Sydney, gave birth to great granddaughter Tatum on December 15th, 2022.
After retiring from the Army, in 1980, I tried truck driving, that didn't work, so started cabinet building and working with wood, finally becoming a General Contractor, doing home repairs
I retired from being a General Contractor about 2007, and am now realizing my dream of building helicopters full time.
Recently, I have been thinking about my life in Redstone and have been trying to locate some of my boyhood friends. I would especially like to find Patrick Doran, his father was the Depot Agent in Redstone. P.S. Found Patrick D in Spokane, WA spring of 2009.
In summer of 2016, met Pat and his wife in Helena and got caught up after not seeing each other since 1957.
