Larry's Story
Larry is a practicing attorney in the Hampton Roads area with his main office in Newport News. Larrykinglaw.com.
Larry is a former state prosecutor with extensive experience representing personal injury victims and people accused of crimes. He has over 40 years of trial experience, and has represented thousands of people for all types of serious personal injuries, criminal offenses, and other serious legal matters. As a experienced trial attorney, he understands his important role in protecting and promoting his client's rights and interest.
Larry earned his Juris Doctor law degree from the College of William and Mary in 1974. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice in state and federal Courts. This includes all Virginia State Courts, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United States Court of Claims. Larry is recognized by the National Trial Lawyers and by American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the top 100 Trial Lawyers in Virginia; his firm is a recipient of the Readers' Choice Awards by Coastal Virginia Magazine and the Daily Press.
Larry is active in many civic and community organizations.
For years he has volunteer and shared his extensive martial arts experience in college and community programs. He has studied and trained in Japanese classical martial arts for 40 years. He is internationally certified as a Hachidan (8th Degree Black belt) and Hanshi-Ho (Master Instructor) by Japan's premier martial arts society, Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK). He has been honored as a "Shihan", and is an inductee of the exclusive DNBK USA Hall of Fame. Currently, he shares his knowledge and experience with his many students at the Victory YMCA, in which he volunteers many of his evenings.
