Larry's Story
After 14 years as a news reporter, the last four as a political reporter with Copley News Service in the L.A. and Sacramento Bureaus, I changed careers. For the last 45 1/2 years I have been a professional political consultant, operating my own firm - Larry Levine & Associates. Our son, Lloyd, served six years in the California State Assembly. He now operates a public affairs firm in Sacramento, where he lives with his wife and their two daughters. Our son, John, works at Microsoft in Redmond, WA. He and his wife, Julie, have one daughter and one son.
I am also editor and publisher of the online food magazine, Table Talk atLarrys.com, and the online restaurant website - atlarrys.com.
I married Jennifer Golder in 1970 and we still are together. We've traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Italy, France, Engla...Expand for more
nd, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and throughout Canada and the U.S..You may remember I was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. Jennifer and I get back there frequently to visit friends, attend the opera, see Broadway shows, eat great meals, and grab hot dogs at Nathan's Famous at Coney Island.
In addition to all this, you can count on finding me on a golf course 5 or 6 times a month.
I love to read, mostly novels. I recently completed a novel, a love story title MARK AND MIRELLA. It's in the hands of several agents and publishers right now. Hoping for a deal. I've also done a food memoir titled COOKING FOR A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. It too is headed for several agents and editors. My short story - LOVE WHISPERS - was published in the June 2015 edition of the monthly publication of the California Writers' Club San Fernando Valley Chapter.
